WorldTrips has relationships with hospitals and doctors throughout the world. Many of your provider selection decisions will be based on your geographical location and provider specialties. This page is meant to help you start your search for a provider, but you may visit any licensed provider of your choosing. When seeking treatment, please ensure that you provide your name in the same format as provided for your insurance policy.

Travel Medical Insurance Plans

Travel medical insurance plans include Atlas Travel®, Atlas Premium™, Atlas Group®, Atlas MultiTrip™, Atlas Nomads™, and StudentSecure®.

NOTE: If you're a member of an Atlas Group plan, please refer to your ID card to find your provider information. You can find your ID card in the Member Portal. Sign in to the portal, click "Policy Information" in the navigation menu, and then click the box labeled "Download Insurance ID Card." Find a Doctor Outside the U.S.

WorldTrips provides flexibility for you to access quality healthcare while traveling outside the United States. There is no preferred provider organization (PPO) outside the U.S., so you may visit any licensed provider you choose.

For travelers with a $0 deductible plan, Air Doctor offers access to a trusted network of vetted healthcare providers abroad. With Air Doctor, you can:

  • In-Clinic Visits – Book an appointment with a local doctor at a nearby clinic.
  • Telehealth Consultations – Connect with a provider virtually for convenient medical advice or follow-ups.
  • In-Hotel Visits – Schedule a doctor to visit you directly at your accommodations (if available).

Use Air Doctor to quickly find and book care within your coverage area. Otherwise, you may choose any licensed provider that meets your needs. Learn more about Air Doctor.

Find a Doctor Inside the U.S.

When traveling within the U.S., you may reduce out-of-pocket costs by using the United Healthcare preferred provider organization (PPO) network. This extensive network includes hundreds of thousands of qualified medical practitioners and reputable hospitals across the country. Simply present your ID card to access in-network services and benefit from PPO discounts.

This setup ensures you have convenient access to healthcare both within the U.S. and abroad, whether through in-person visits, telehealth(video), or the Air Doctor network, depending on your location and plan benefits.

Trip Protection Plans

Trip Protection Plans include Atlas Journey® and Atlas On-The-Go™.

There is no preferred provider organization (PPO) for Atlas Journey or Atlas On-The-Go plans. You may visit any provider of your choosing when seeking treatment inside or outside the U.S.

For Providers

Providers do not need prior authorization from WorldTrips or United Healthcare (UHC) before administering care.
Please note that dental claims, claims incurred outside of the UHC preferred provider organization (PPO), and claims incurred outside of the U.S. are processed by WorldTrips. Claims incurred within the UHC PPO are processed by UHC. For other provider questions, please call 1-800-605-2282.
